The 8th International Marine Conservation Congress (IMCC8)

The 8th International Marine Conservation Congress (IMCC8) takes place at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre from 13–17 November 2026. Organised biennially by the Society for Conservation Biology’s Global Marine Program, the congress convenes scientists, policymakers, practitioners, educators, students, and community representatives from around the world. 

Guided by the theme "Marine Science for the Planet and its Peoples," the programme focuses on making marine science matter through evidence-based research, policy development, and cross-sector collaboration to address pressing marine challenges.
