Your Itinerary

Day 1: Monday 12 November

09:30 Onwards, arrivals into Edinburgh:

  • Those flying in will be greeted by a member of the EICC team at Edinburgh Airport, before transferring to the city centre by tram
  • Those taking the train will be greeted by a member of the EICC team at Haymarket Station, before transferring to the hotel

Luggage drop at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa Edinburgh. Guests are then welcome to use the morning to explore Edinburgh at their leisure or take advantage of our Edinburgh City Bus Tour. Alternatively, a private area with refreshments will be made available at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa for those wishing to work. 

13:30 Welcome lunch at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa Edinburgh with show round of the hotel after lunch
15:30 Guests transfer by taxi to Principal Hotels for check-in: the group will be accommodated between the two newly refurbished iconic Edinburgh Hotels: the Principal Charlotte Square and the Principal George Street
17:30 Showcase of these properties:

  • Guests staying at the Principal Charlotte Square will be met at the hotel reception by Elaine, before walking to the Principal George Street for show round (5 - 10 mins on foot)
  • Guests staying at the Principal George Street will be met at the hotel reception by Lyndsey, before walking to the Principal Charlotte Square for show around (5 - 10 mins on foot)

18:20 Transfers from hotels to the spectacular National Museum of Scotland for dinner provided by Heritage Portfolio 
22:30 Carriages to hotels

Day 2: Tuesday 13 November

09:00 Transfer from hotels by taxi to the EICC:

  • Guests staying at the Principal Charlotte Square will be met at the hotel reception by Elaine
  • Guests staying at the Principal George Street will be met at the hotel reception by Lyndsey

09:30 Tour of the EICC
10:30 Comfort break and refreshments followed by Edinburgh Collaborative presentations: enhance your knowledge of our stunning city with the latest updates and presentations from key partners
11:30 Round Table Discussion facilitated by Jane Ali-Knight, Professor in Festival and Event Management, Edinburgh Napier University
Round Table discussion focus: Industry Collaboration to Enhance the Delegate Experience, exploring:

  • Academia Collaborations - developing future talent in the events industry
  • Venue & PCO Collaborations - exploring new ways to exceed client and delegates expectations
  • Best Practice – examples of successful collaborations 

13:00 Lunch
14:00 Continuation of Round Table discussions
14:30 Round-up and transfers to Edinburgh Airport or Waverley Station
