It’s Not Where You Start... is a no holds barred story of how a latch-key kid from a working-class background pulled himself up by his bootstraps to become an award winning actor, theatre producer and entrepreneur.

Scott takes the audience on a highly personal journey as he delves into the circumstances that made him the man he has become. No subject is off limits as he uncovers family secrets of rape, incest and alcoholism. He recalls how his own childhood was scarred by terrifying episodes of domestic abuse, abandonment issues, gang violence and even murder. As the second son of a single parent mother working three jobs to keep her family fed, clothed and with a roof over their heads, he learned very early on how to be independent and always knew he would have to work for success.
