Leadership Stream Theatre C: Future-Proofed Digital Infrastructure and Connectivity

Connectivity has served as a crucial lifeline during the lockdown, helping to keep people working, supporting public services and keeping the economy moving.

As Scotland aims to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic, it is going to be even more important to invest in digital infrastructure, helping to transform public services and rebuilding the economy.

By attending the Connectivity session, you will hear the latest developments and vital role of Scotland’s digital infrastructure capabilities. Showcasing how digital networks can enable public sector transformation and improve services for citizens.

Overview

The Scottish Government is committed to a world-class, future proofed infrastructure. With investments such as the £600 million procurement for R100, along with the adopting of a ‘digital first’ approach and continued improvements to broadband and mobile networks.

The aim is to support those not using digital online and helping those who are online to exploit digital communication as effectively as possible.
