New for 2017, EICC's public lecture programme will be themed around Scotland's Year of History Heritage and Archaeology, in partnership with the City of Edinburgh Council and Edinburgh Tourism Action Group (ETAG).
The first lecture of the year - Innovation Heritage - takes place on Tuesday 18 April which is World Heritage Day. We are delighted to announce keynote speakers Adam Wilkinson, Director of Edinburgh World Heritage, and Janet Egdell, Operations Director at Registers of Scotland.
With 2017 marking the 250th year of Edinburgh's New Town, Adam will talk about the unique place held by Edinburgh on the world heritage stage and the events being held to celebrate the anniversary.
2017 also marks the 400th anniversary of the creation of the world's first national land and property register. Janet will highlight Registers of Scotland's work in undertaking a digital transformation to future-proof Scotland's land and property data - protecting the rights of Scotland's people for generations to come.
The running order for Innovation Heritage is as follows:

1830 Lectures from keynote speakers followed by Q&A
